Chinese to boost SL women’s training

 
The All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) has donated 500,000 Yuan (about 73,000 U.S. dollars) worth of aid to Sri Lanka to boost training for women.

The First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa was presented a letter detailing the donation by ACWF Chairwoman Chen Zhili at a meeting in Beijing, yesterday, Sep. 7.

During the meeting, the First Lady exchanged views with Chen, who is also the Vice Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, on issues such as women and children development and promoting communication.

According to the ACWF, the aid comprises computers and other materials which could be used to educate women.

Mrs. Shiranthi Rajapaksa is the guest of the ACWF during her six-day visit to China.
