Govt to release IDPs to relatives

 

The government has decided to release the displaced persons having relations outside who are willing to accommodate them, Minister of Resettlement and Disaster Relief Services Minister Rishad Bathiudeen said today, Sep. 9.

The Minister said that the Grama Seva Niladharis, the Divisional Secretaries and the Police should confirm the identities of persons willing get their relations released from the relief villages and camps to live with them. He said that proof of the consent of the IDPs to live with their relations should be involved for the government to release them.
