New BOI ventures to offshore software development

 

The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka granted investment approval to Creative Software Engineering and Bluechip Group to commence offshore software development ventures.

Creative Software Engineering signed an agreement for an offshore software development venture. The venture will develop Enterprise Search Solutions, which will be marketed in Europe and the US markets. Development will be undertaken using the latest Microsoft technologies.

The company is an initial investment of US $ 150,000 located in Colombo 3. The venture will provide employment for 20 at the initial stages, and expects the workforce to expand to 100.

An agreement worth an initial investment of US $ 150,000 was signed with Bluechip Group (Private) Limited to set up another offshore software development venture.

The software company will develop Monitoring and Managing software for IT Enterprises, said Group Director Hugo Wisidagama.

Software development will be done using the latest open source technologies. The company is an initial investment of US $ 150,000 sponsored by Blue Chip Group, United Kingdom. The venture located at Nugegoda will provide employment for 20 at the initial stages and expects to commence operations within a month.
