Beware of gold sale scams – CB

 
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has warned the public that there are scams being perpetrated by unscrupulous persons who claim that they have been authorized to sell gold belonging to the Central Bank.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka cautions the general public that they must not be duped by these unscrupulous claims, since the Central Bank is not selling any gold.

According to the Central Bank, the relevant authorities are now investigating these scams and steps will be taken by them to trace, identify and take the necessary legal steps to deal with offenders.
