Postal services on land to North

 
Sri Lanka Postal Department will recommence its services to Jaffna on a land route from today (15).

Postal authorities said the mail bags would be sent up to Vavuniya by train. These would be taken to Jaffna on A-9 route by a SLTB bus.

The government is in the process of normalizing the public administration system in the North to cater to the public.

Building infrastructure, restoring utilities, and reestablishing the public administration services are essential when resettling displaced civilians.
