Sri Lanka and Singapore are exploring the possibility of a bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

This was discussed by Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama and Singapore Foreign Minister George Yeo.

The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister said that Sri Lanka wants to expand its relationship with Singapore in the service sector, the industrial sector, as well as the real estate sector.

Mr Yeo said the prospects for improved bilateral cooperation between Singapore and Sri Lanka have brightened considerably and that in future, the two countries will have a lot to cooperate on, reported the CNA.
