President Mahinda Rajapaksa left for Vietnam today (22) for a three day official visit at the invitation of the government of Vietnam.

President Rajapaksa will hold bilateral discussions with Vietnamese leaders aiming at strengthening the political and economic ties between the two countries. President Rajapaksa is schedule to meet with Mr. Nong Duc Manh, Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
