Eastern & North Central Roads to be developed

 
The Ministry of Local Government and Provincial Councils has taken steps to implement the Eastern and North Central Provincial Road Project with the assistance of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) under the supervision and co-ordination of Ministry of Local Government and Provincial Councils.

The total cost of this Project is US$ 78 million and it is scheduled to be commenced in December, 2009 for a period of 4 years.

The Project will reconstruct roads up to a total of 370 k. m. s in the North Central Province and Trincomalee and Battticaloa Districts in the Eastern Province.
