SLIM takes marketing education to North

The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) Education Division has formed an alliance with the Jaffna based Internet Information Services (IIS) City Campus to provide marketing education to the people of the Northern Province.

Under this partnership, students in the North will get the opportunity to start a professional career through the Preliminary Certificate in Marketing (PCM) leading up to graduate level studies and PG Diploma up to the MBA. This provides a comprehensive knowledge in both practice and theory with the ultimate opportunity to gain a well recognized professional qualification in marketing, said SLIM President Saliya Weerasekara.

“As Sri Lanka’s national body of marketers, our aim is to consistently support people across all geographical barriers and provide them with opportunities in the marketing profession. The enthusiasm shown by Jaffna students has proved that the demand for marketing education in northern Sri Lanka is great. We undoubtedly owe it to the youth of our country to rebuild the nation”, he added.

SLIM has a student base of over 10,000 and a membership of over 3000 vibrant marketing professionals.
