John Holmes arrives SL today

 
UN Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Co-ordinator, John Holmes will arrive in Sri Lanka today (Nov. 17) on a three-day official visit.

His visit will be with regard to the resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who are sheltered in the welfare centers.

During his brief stay he is expected to call on certain Cabinet Ministers and visit the northern areas where peace has been restored.

John Holmes last visited Sri Lanka in May after the hostilities came to an end. He had also visited Sri Lanka last February and April.
