President prohibits alienation or transfer of state property

 
President Mahinda Rajapaksa has ordered the relevant authorities to prohibit alienation or transfer of state owned properties to any party during the election period.

According to the Government Information Department it has been revealed that an organized group is engaged in a malicious effort to conquest state owned properties without the prior approval of the authorities.
