LTTE supporters should be severely punished - Indian Union Minister

Indian Union Minister V Narayanasamy called for stringent punishment to individuals and organizations supporting the banned LTTE in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

"The authorities concerned should take stringent action against any individual or organizations supporting the LTTE in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry," the Minister said.

He condemned the petrol bomb attack on the house of former Indian Union Minister and Congress leader E V K S Elangovan on Friday. Three persons of a little known pro-Eelam outfit were arrested in this connection, reported PTI.

Petrol bombs were hurled on the residence of Elangovan, a strident LTTE critic. The attack came after he had torn down posters and banners eulogizing slain LTTE founder V Prabhakaran on his birth anniversary at Erode on the day.
