The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka granted investment approval for Arugambay Travels Hotel (Private) Limited to establish a three star hotel at Arugambay.

This is a joint venture between Australia and Sri Lanka. The project, carried out under the Accelerated Development Programme for the Eastern Province is for an initial investment of Rs.123 million.

The company will establish a modern 3 star hotel offering a comfortable stay for guests. It will consist of 19 Guest Rooms and 7 Chalets and will offer facilities such as health club, gymnasium, spa, swimming pool, business centre and conference facilities.

The hotel is established in a 400 perch land with an overview of the lagoon and the Arugambay beach.
