several
areas in
the
North

were
liberated
from the
terror
of the
LTTE
earlier
this
year.
He
visited
Pudumathalan
in
Mullaitivu
district,
the

the
memorial
to the
heroes
of war.
The

was
liberated
and
restored
by the
Sri
Lankan
Army in
2008.
