The Asian Development Bank (ADB) granted one million dollars for waste water management in the Greater Colombo Area.

The sewerage system will also be restructured under this project with 17 pump houses.

The aim of the project is to ensure a stable and health conducive urban environment. It is expected to be completed in 2014.
