Postal votes on Jan 12 & 13

 

Commission of Elections has announced January 12th and 13th as the dates for marking of postal ballot papers for the forthcoming presidential election.

The voters will have to bring their national identity card or any one of the alternative identity document approved by the Elections Department with them. The official identity cards have also issued to staff of Government Institutions will be accepted for postal votes.

Applications for postal voting would be approved until December 24 and the ballot papers for the postal voters will be issued on January 4. Acceptance of postal vositn applications concluded on December 17.
