India extends US$ 425million credit line

 

The Indian government has extended a 425 million US dollar credit towards reconstruction of the north and east. The grant will fund the railway track laying between Omanthai-Pallai and Madhu-Talaimannar.

The track laying will be undertaken by IRCON (India) Ltd. The loan will also be utilized for the supplying of rolling stocks for northern province.
