Govt calls for biz proposals at Hambantota Port

 

The Ministry of Ports and Aviation will appoint a Negotiating Committee and a Project Committee to prepare and call for proposals from interested parties for the commencement of business ventures in line with the Hambantota Port Development Project.

They will evaluate and negotiate with the bidders on their proposals for commencement of business ventures on Hambantota Port Development Project.

Accordingly, business ventures such as Cement Grinding Plant, Cement Bagging Plant, Fertilizer Bagging Plants, Vehicle Assembling Plant, Warehousing Complex, Operation of LPG Plant, Operation of RO-RO Terminals, Ship Repair Facilities and Operation of Non Containerized Cargo Terminals have been identified by the Sri Lanka Ports Authority to implement the first phase of the Hambantota Port Project which is planned to complete constructions by April 2011.
