The government has introduced a special loan scheme for the resettled IDPs in the North to uplift their living standards.

The government has granted 7.5 million rupees to the resettled IDPs in the Jaffna peninsula, the Governor of the Northern Province, G. A. Chandrasiri said.

Another 60 families resettled recently in the Kilinochchi district have been granted livelihood relief loans, the Governor further stated.
