Palaly transmission station opened  

 
The Palaly Transmission Station was opened yesterday (Jan. 6), providing Jaffna residents’ access to Rupavahini Corporation and Independent Television Network Channels and FM radio stations of the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation.

Residents of Jaffna now have access to ITN and Wasantham TV of ITN, Rupavahini, Eye Channel, Prime TV and Nethra of Rupavahini Corporation and all language FM channels of the SLBC, Daily News reported.

Jaffna residents received SLBC channels through analogue technology but the technology was enhanced to digital yesterday securing a clearer broadcast, the report added.
