President Mahinda Rajapaksa paid his last respect today (Jan 18) to Saman Pradeep, an SLFP supporter of Madurankuliya, Putlam, shot dead by a group of opposition supporters.

President Rajapaksa expressed condolence to Saman's mother and other relatives when he visited his home. He stated that those responsible for this death will be brought to justice and duly punished.

Saman Pradeep was shot dead on his way to an SLFP election rally in Anamaduwa.
