The

President
stated
this in
a
message
of
congratulation
to

Mahinda
Rajapaksa
on the
occasion
of

Independence
Day.

Excellency,
On the
auspicious
occasion
of 62nd
anniversary
of the
independence
of the
Democratic
Socialist
Republic
of Sri
Lanka,
on
behalf
of the
Chinese
people
and in
my own
name, I
wish to
extend

congratulations
and best
wishes
to Your
Excellency
and
through
Your
Excellency
to all
the Sri
Lankan
people.
Under
the
leadership
of Your
Excellency,

has
