India gives
shelter material for IDPs |

India
has
provided
a
consignment
of
galvanized
corrugated
sheets
to help
provide
adequate
shelter
to those
living
in
welfare
camps.
India’s
High
Commissioner,
Ashok K.
Kantha
presented
the
first
lot of
the
second
consignment
of
galvanized
corrugated
sheets
which
contains
a total
of
265,000
sheets
to
Ministers
Douglas
Devananda
and
Risath
Bathiyudeen,
recently.
India
also
supplied
a
consignment
of
sheets
in
August
last
year.
The
total
cost
incurred
on
procuring
the
consignments
was
Rs.608
million.
Speaking
at the
occasion,
the
Indian
High
Commissioner
reiterated
their
deep
commitment
to the
reconstruction
and
rehabilitation
of the
North
and
underlined
India’s
commitment
to
infrastructure
development
in the
North.
