Large crowd at Deyata Kirula

 

It is reported that a large crowd is arriving to view the Deyata Kirula development exhibition declared open in Kandy yesterday (04 Feb) by President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

"[It] carries to the public, details regarding development activities in the country over the past 4 years. The exhibition is also a venue for the international community to obtain the said details", said President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The President added that the exhibition also displays the future development model of the government. He further stated the exhibition which is held this year in a location out of Colombo for the first time, will also be taken to other cities as well.

This is the fourth Deyata Kirula exhibition and the first being held outside Colombo.

Three main locations - the International Buddhist Research Centre, new building complex of the Central Provincial Council and the Prison premises in Pallekele, Kandy will house the exhibition areas.

The exhibition will continue till 12 February, 2010 and is open from 9.00 a.m. to midnight daily.
