hit an
all-time
high on
Monday
(Feb 8)
with
2.53
percent
in the
All-Share
Price
Index.
It was a
new
record
high of
3800.81
points
in the
intraday
trading,
surpassing
its
previous
record
high of
3735.86
hit on
Tuesday.
It
closed
2.23
percent
or 82.65
points
firmer
at
3789.37.
The
bourse
has
risen
5.5
percent
since
the
Presidential
election
ended,
CSE
sources
said.
The
day's
turnover
was 2.6
billion
rupees
($22.5
million),
over
four
times of
2009
daily
average
of 593.6
million
rupees.
The
bourse
has
risen
11.9
percent
so far
this
year,
the best
in Asia,
after
being
one of
the
world's
best-performing
markets
in 2009,
jumping
125.2
percent
on
post-war
optimism.
