The Sri Lanka Army yesterday re-appointed Major General Prasad Samarasinghe as the new Military Spokesman and Director, Directorate of Army media.

Major General Samarasinghe assumed duties at the new post in addition to his present positions as the Chief Signals Officer and Chief Controller of the Center for Research and Development under the Ministry of Defence.

Meanwhile, former Director of Recruitment Superintendent of Police (SP) Preshantha Jayakodi has been appointed as the new media spokesman for Police.
