that
Mrs.
Anoma
Fonseka
was
granted
permission
to visit
her
detained
husband
Gen (retd.)
Sarath
Fonseka
immediately
after
her
request
to see
him was
made.
He said
that
Fonseka's
lawyer,
Mr.
Wijayadasa
Rajapaksa,
Member
of
Parliament
also
visited
the
detainee
yesterday
(February
09).
He said
that the
media
reports
that
Fonseka
was
denied
medical
facilities
were
incorrect.
“The
family
has been
granted
unhindered
access
to the
detainee
and full
medical
assistance
as per
his
request.
He was
treated
as a
former
Army
General
without
any
discrimination",
Maj Gen
Samarasinghe
added.
The
Military
Spokesman
said the
Sri
Lanka
Army
will
decide
to hold
a trial
on the
evidence
against
Fonseka
either
at a
Court
Martial
or Civil
court
after
the
summary
of
evidence
is
forwarded
to the
Attorney
General
for his
advice.
