Aptech to invest in Sri Lanka

An Indian IT education company, Aptech is exploring opportunities to venture business in Sri Lanka, one of its top company officials said.

“A team from Aptech is going to Sri Lanka. We have done a study on the market there and the opportunity is clearly there,” said Mr Ninad Karpe, Managing Director and CEO, Aptech, reported the Hindu.

“Sri Lankans, like Indians have service mindsets and are eager to make it big in the IT landscape,” said Mr Karpe. The company intends to take its IT education and animation business to Sri Lanka.

Aptech recently strengthened its animation portfolio by acquiring Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics (MAAC) for an overall consideration of Indian Rs.76 crore. It intends to take the MAAC brand as well to Sri Lanka, reported the Hindu.
