ADB helps improve Northern schools

 

The Asian Development Bank has donated Rs.500 million to improve facilities in the Northern schools.
Under this programme, 500 schools in the North will be provided with computer labs and internet facilities.

Five computers will be donated to each school and internet facilities will be provided by May.

The project will also carry out other development work in the schools.
Meanwhile, the Education Ministry has made arrangements to allocate one million rupees to renovate the schools which were damaged due to terrorism. The programme has been launched under the ‘Modernization of Secondary Schools’ Project of the Education Ministry.
