Another 1161 IDPs resettled

 
The Government resettled 1161 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) yesterday (Feb. 23). 1093 persons (319 families) were resettled in Kondaweli DS Division while another 68 persons (17 families) were resettled in Manthei, in Kilinochchi District.

Arrangements are also being made to resettle around 800 IDPs in Nedunkeni North and West today.

The Government is paying a great deal of attention to resettle all displaced persons and create an environment where they could live without fear or intimidation.
