SL delegation to Brussels to discuss GSP+

A high level Sri Lankan delegation will leave for Brussels on March 15 for talks with the European Union (EU) to explore the possibilities of retaining the GSP+ trade concession and other issues, Minister of Export Development and International Trade Prof. G. L. Peiris said yesterday (10 Mar).

The Minister said that the four member delegation includes Treasury Secretary Dr. P. B. Jayasundara, Foreign Secretary Romesh Jayasinghe, Justice Ministry Secretary Suhada Gamlath and Attorney General Mohan Peiris.

The EU last month gave Sri Lanka a six months time period to address the alleged problems identified during the EU investigation and attempt to retain the GSP+ trade concession.
