The casting of postal votes for the parliamentary elections is held today and tomorrow (25, 26 Mar), the Election Secretariat said.

Over 400,000 public servants are eligible for the postal voting for the upcoming parliamentary election scheduled on April 8.

According to the schedule, postal voting is to end by noon tomorrow.

Instructions were given to returning and certifying officers to ensure that postal voting is completed on these two days and sealed packets of votes be handed over to the post offices, Election Commissioner Dayananda Dissanayake said.
