Indian Prime Minister congratulates President

 
Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has congratulated the President Mahinda Rajapaksa on his resounding victory at the general election.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh phoned the President Rajapaksa and extended his greetings.

The Indian Prime Minister has wished the President strength to steer the country towards development fulfilling the people’s aspirations.

Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy also said that "The victory of President Mahinda Rajapaksa's party in the parliamentary elections is a good development for Indian national interest".
