SriLankan Airlines has delayed flights to UK, Germany and France due to the skies over Northern Europe being turned into a no-fly zone.

According to SriLankan Airline sources departure of two SriLankan Airline flights to Germany and Paris from Colombo scheduled for today morning have been delayed due to huge cloud of ash from a volcanic eruption in Iceland yesterday which turned the Northern European skies into a no-fly zone.

Many airports in Europe were closed and flights were grounded yesterday because of ash from the volcanic eruption.
