Oddusudan tile factory re-opened

Oddusudan tile factory in Mullaitivu which was abandoned due to LTTE terrorism will re-commence production after two decades.

"The Oddusudan tile factory functioned as a major tile manufacturer in the Northern Province. It was owned by the Government. However, the LTTE forced it to shut down. The factory ceased to function for over two decades", said Northern Province Governor Major General G.A. Chandrasiri, Daily News reported.

This will provide jobs to the people affected by the conflict, particularly the youth. It will also help develop their livelihood, he added.
