President Mahinda Rajapaksa has expressed his willingness to follow the Bangladesh model of preparing a flawless voter list with photographs before the next General Election.

During a meeting with Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hashina in Thimphu, President Rajapaksa lauded her efforts to prepare such a voter list, 'The Daily Star' reported.

Meeting on the sidelines of the 16th SAARC Summit on April 28-29, the two leaders discussed matters of bilateral importance.

The Bangladeshi premier invited the state and private sectors of Sri Lanka to invest in Bangladesh on readymade garment, textile and banking sectors.

President Rajapaksa said the import of ceramics, pharmaceuticals, plastic-wares and construction material from Bangladesh would be considered.
