New hope for cancer patients

 
President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday said that he would take necessary actions to allocated funds to recommence the construction of Hope Cancer Hospital Project. He was speaking at the inauguration of Deshamanya A. Y. S. Gnanam Memorial Operating Theatre complex at the Maharagama Cancer Institute.

The hospital project launched in 2002 by Sri Lankan Cricketers and the Lion Club came to a stand still due to lack of funds.
