Parliament may meet in evenings

 

Sitting times of the Parliament would be changed from morning to evening sessions following a government proposal taken at Party Leaders’ meeting last Friday.

According to the government’s proposal which had been agreed to by other party leaders, the time of commencement of the sittings would be changed from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm.

Parliament usually meets during the first and the last weeks of every month from Monday to Friday.

According to the proposed schedule, the sittings of the House will continue till 7.00 pm.
