The main idea to hold the Scouts Jamboree in Jaffna is to enhance mutual and cultural understanding among the school children and provide proper leadership training, the Ministry of Defence said.

A large number of students representing district level Scouts contingents including Cubs from all over the country participated in the Jamboree from May 15 to 17.
