New bank branches in North

 
Six new bank branches will be opened in the Northern Province on 07 June to facilitate economic activities in the area.

People’s Bank is due to open three new branches in Kilinochchi, Mankulam and Paranthan while Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC and Seylan Bank PLC are due to open one branch each in Kilinochchi. The Nations Trust Bank PLC will open a branch in Jaffna. Accordingly, three new bank branches will be opened in Kilinochchi and one each in Paranthan, Mankulam and Jaffna.

Necessary approvals of the Central Bank have also been granted for further new bank branches in the Northern and Eastern Provinces. These branches will be opened in the next few months.
