More projects to uplift Kilinochchi |

The Government has taken action to launch new projects to uplift the livelihoods of the people in Kilinochchi as part of the North Development Programme.
Several welfare programmes are scheduled to be held today (June 17) in Kilinochchi.
A medical camp will be held there the whole day today while three new CTB buses will be deployed for passenger transportation.
In line with the fresh water fisheries development initiative of the Government, 200,000 fingerlings will be added to three tanks in the area. Also, two "sathosa" retail outlets will be opened for customers.
In addition, a vocational training center in Kilinochchi will also be commissioned to provide youth with knowledge in several vocations. A NAITA training centre will also be commissioned today.
