China is providing technical expertise for this project which will be jointly implemented by the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission and Ministry of Mass Media and Information. The Sri Lankan Security Forces too will assist in this project.

With the reconstruction of this Transmission Tower people of North in the Jaffna, Mullative, Mannar, Kilinochchi and Vavuniya Districts would once again be able to view programmes relayed by local as well as foreign TV Channels.
