22 year old Julian Wilson dominated the competition throughout the event.

Following the victory Wilson said “I can’t believe what an outstanding event this has been for me and all the surfers who have travelled here”.

He also said the waves at Arugam Bay have been outstanding and added that “in many ways they are similar to the point waves around Noosa where I live”.

Arugam Bay situated in the Eastern Coast of Sri Lanka is regarded as one of the top 10 surfing destinations in the World and the best time for surfing at Arugam Bay is between the period of May and September.
