Stocks at the Colombo Stock Exchange yesterday (June 29) closed higher with the broader market ASPI gaining 39 points (+0.8 percent) to close at 4,613.
The more sensitive MPI closed up 43 points (+0.8 percent) to end at 5,300. Total turnover for yesterday was Rs2.8 billion with 82 million shares being traded.
The total number of trades of 21,727 for the day is the highest ever recorded by the CSE, reported First Guardian Equities.
