Sri Lanka to host World Spice Food Festival 2010

 

World Spice Food Festival 2010 is scheduled to be held for the fourth time from 14th -24th July 2010 in Colombo.

This year it is assured all excitement and culinary delights that have always endeared it to visitors.

Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) will declare the event open on July 14th at Cinnamon Grand to mark 11 days of thrilling culinary extravaganza.

From 16th -18th July, Ananda Kumaraswami Mawatha (Green Path) will take on a festive air with a large marquee covering 250 seats, with live entertainment and events all night long giving an unforgettable gourmet experience at an incredibly affordable price, stated SLTDA.

Each participating hotel and restaurant will conduct a food festival for one week where world class chefs will be flown in from across the globe, who are specialists in the cuisines on offer.

The grand finale of this festival will be at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla on the 24th July with an event for special invitees.
