Emergency extended by majority of 100 votes

 
The emergency regulations were extended for a period of one month. The extension of emergency was approved by a majority of 100 votes in Parliament today (06 July) with 132 voting in favour and 32 against. UNP MP Abdul Cader voted in favour of the Emergency extension while other members of the UNP, TNA and DNA voted against it.
