Ministry Secretaries to discuss govt IT policy

 
Secretary to the President, Lalith Weeratunge will convene secretaries of all the government ministries tomorrow to discuss the implementation of state sector IT policy.

President's Secretary expects to have direct consultation from the secretaries of the Ministries regarding the implementation of the state IT policy, Information Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) of Sri Lanka said.

The meeting is one of the series of national seminars conducted by ICTA to create awareness of the e-governance policy.

Sri Lanka Cabinet of Ministers approved the 'Policy and Procedures for IT Use' or the e-Governance policy in December 2009 as a major step marking the year of English and ICT.
