The Disaster Management Centre of the Ministry of Disaster Management will hold tsunami drills in several Grama Niladari Divisions in 14 districts today (13 July).

The scheduled exercise was aimed at preparing the public for any eventuality in tsunami prone areas including Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Hambantota, Ampara, Batticaloa, Trincomalee, Jaffna, Puttalam, Kilinochchi, Mulaitivu and Mannar.
