President Mahinda Rajapaksa congratulated Sri Lanka spinner, Muttiah Muralitharan as he became the world’s highest wicket taker achieving his new record of 800 wickets in Test Cricket in 133 Tests.

His final match before retirement from Test Cricket is being played today against India at Galle Stadium.

President Rajapaksa presented Murali a special award earlier after arriving in Galle to watch the match.
