The new UK Visa Application Centre of the High Commission of United Kingdom was inaugurated in Colombo yesterday (26 July).

Speaking at the occasion, British Deputy High Commissioner, Mark Gooding said "These new improved facilities, including for the first time, a premium lounge, are testament to the importance we attach to our UK visa operation in Sri Lanka ", he said.

“It also shows the commitment of the UK Border Agency and its commercial partner, VFS Global, to providing UK visa customers in Sri Lanka with an efficient and enhanced customer service”, he added.
